Hello! I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Jennifer Ferguson and I have been a Physician Assistant for almost 21 years. I have decided to move in a different direction in my career as I launch REAL Medicine, LLC. I want to help my community reform their health, get their energy back and support their longevity through hormonal balance and overall wellness.

My decision to pursue this became a passion about seven years ago when I was diagnosed with autoimmune thyroiditis also called Hashimoto’s. I was referred by my primary care to endocrinology, but was disappointed in the level of care that I received after a simple TSH and T4. I was prescribed Synthroid and sent on my way.

A couple of years later, I fractured my foot on the tennis court, which prompted a DEXA bone density scan. This revealed that I was osteopenic at the age of 40. I was a hard-core runner and lifted every day of my life. How did this happen?!?!? I started vitamin D and calcium supplements.

A few years later after undergoing treatment for anxiety and ADHD, I was still not feeling like myself. I was working out two hours a day and had always followed a high protein, veggie low carb diet yet struggled to keep the weight off. I was stressed, inflamed, and felt horrible. I couldn’t sleep and that was my end point.

What began with self education on thyroid hormones quickly lead to a passion and understanding of the beautiful balance of all naturally produced hormones which we need to live our optimal lives. I have been very busy with education and trainings to acquire the knowledge to be able to help others with their imbalances.

So finally here I am, now a perimenopausal 45-year-old feeling my best, being my best, and ready to help you do the same! Let’s work together to REFORM your health, get back your ENERGY, and LIVE!
